Provincial Nominee Program

The provincial nominee program being a pathway to Permanent Residency enables applicants (both foreign nationals and temporary residents) who have worked, studied, or have some skill set needed in a particular province and who intend to reside in that province to be considered for nomination by the province.
In order to nominate applicants who want to settle in their provinces, Canadian provinces and territories have agreements with the federal government to address the unique needs and priorities of each province. The eligibility criteria will depend on the province of interest. Each province has its eligibility criteria and application process.
Successful applicants will receive a provincial nomination certificate, which helps to boost their CRS score by 600 points toward receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA). After receiving an ITA, the next step is to submit all the required documentation for a Permanent Residence application.
